Love actually 2

I finished reading Love Actually. It was filmed in 2003. Have you ever seen it? Well, I have not seen it before, but I enjoyed reading.

There were some couples in the story. They had different love stories. However, every couple had each trouble. They deepened their love by overcoming their troubles. Finally, they had a wonderful Christmas day.

I realized that love or loving someone is difficult and real love needs some troubles. Of course, no trouble is best, but we can find real love through troubles. I read their romantic story. I hope I can find real love someday. Where is my prince? I will try to find him. Haha

Love Actually

Hi!

I started reading a new book, Love Actually by Richard Curtis. I borrowed it at the llibrary. It looked fun as a love story. I thought it must be interesting because its movie was released. So, I chose the book. Hve you ever seen the movie? Actually, I haven't. I'm gonna see it after I  finished reading :)

In summary, in London, Christmas is coming and the people in this story have love on their minds. Some have found love; some have lost it. Some accept thier loneliness; others live in hope. Even the new British prime ministers thoughts are not always on his job -- because love, actually, is all around us.

A Midsummer Night Dream 2

Well, I’ve finish reading A Midsummer Night Dream. I already knew the story as I watched its DVD, so it is easy to read for me. I can read it imagining the wonderful world.

 

A fairy, Puck made their love complex by a special flower. One day, Lysander and Demetrious got crazy for Helena! Hermia and Helena couldn’t understand what happen to them. They were so disappointed. The fairy enjoyed looking their battle. Next day, Puck changed their love by the flower. Finally, Hermia and Lysander, Demetrius and Helena got married. They lived happily forever after! (Thanks to Puck…?)

A Midsummer Night Dream

Hellooo! It got a little cool these days, and it’s comfortable!! I’m glad the season that my favorite flowers, fragrant orange-colored olives, bloom is coming J  The smell is so sweet and it always refresh me. I feel like going out for walk.

 

Now, I’m reading A Midsummer Night Dream while commute. The reason I chose it is simple! It because its drama will be held on the Shakespeare production this year! I’m really looking forward to it. I have seen its movie before. Since then, it is one of my favorite movies ever seen. So, I could read smoothly.

 

The story is kind of love and comedy story, so I can enjoy reading. I was surprised that it gave the world the idea of fairies! It was the first work of literature that showed fairies as small flying creatures, like little people. Children’s writers and Disney films still use the same idea today! I realized again that Shakespeare was great artist in the world!

 

I will tell about the story contents next week!

Notting Hill 2

Hi! Time flew so fast!! Fall is coming! Tomorrow is October! Wow!!

 

Anyway, I finished reading the book “Notting Hill”. I really enjoy it J It was so romantic story.

 

Anna joind William’s sister birthday party, and then she met some his friend there. They were so supprised and couldn’t believe she was at the party. Through casual chatting, they got friends.

 

One day, Anna and William went back to Anna’s room after dating, there was Anna’s boyfriend who was famous actor. She wasn’t know that he came to her room that day. She was disappointed at the situation because she thought they had already broken up. William was really shocked and he got back to his own house alone. He felt so lonely.

 

A few days later, there was a knock at Wiiliam’s house. It was Anna! She got away from many reporters. William decided to help her. They stayed together for a while happily. However, the time came to say goodbye. Many reporters came to his home! She had to go back. William felt lonely again. He thought he was not able to see Anna again.

 

One of William’s friend reseived a message for William from Anna. He hurried to the stadio where Anna was. They could see again. He told his feeling how he loved her and she accept him. They got a nice couple!

 

They lived happily ever after with their kids.

Notting Hill

Hi, what did you do while the summer vacation? Did you have a good time?
For me, This summer vacation was the best holiday in my life!! Let's share our memories  at class!!

Anyway, I chose a new book for Reading homework, but I read it for pleasure actually.
It is "Notting Hill". I haven't see the movie, so I decided to read it before see the movie.

It's kind of Love story. The story is about Anna Scott and William Thacker.
Anna is an American film star. She is rich, beautiful and very famous in the world.
On the other hand, William is a shy man who has a small unsuccessfully bookshop in London.

One day, Anna stooped by the bookshop to buy a travel book. It was her private shopping. William was very surprised! He couldn't believe the situation. It was like a dream for him. He tried talking to her, and recommend a nice book. She bought the book and left the shop.

In the evening, they met again. Anna was busy, so they couldn't talk enough.

A few days later, she invited him to her hotel by a call. He really surprised and feel happy!! When he went to the hotel, there were a lot of reporters there. He pretended to be a reporter, and then he could see her! There was a time limit, but she said she wanted to go out for dinner with him. However, he was going to take part in her sister's birthday party. Anna joined the party with him...

What will happen at the party? I'll continue reading the book and enjoying it!!

Hello!

I have read seven books (622 pages) while the spring semester!

It was surprising number for me because I seldom read English books before. When I had the chance as homework, I didn't read English books without pleasure. 

However, I enjoyed reading English books at this time. Reading English books improve my motivation for learning English and I learned some phrases from the books.

I often heard “Reading with Pleasure” is important. I agree with that. I will continue to read English books.

I read seven books, but they were all short story. I hope I could read longer story with pleasure in the future.

In the House

Hello~

Are you enjoying your summer vacation? I hope so.

 

I read “ In the House” this week.

It’s an interesting story!

 

In summary, Big Eye is a reality TV program about young people living together in the Big Eye House. There are cameras that watch almost everything they do. People at home watch and phone up to say who they want to leave the House. The winner is the last person in the House.

 

There were four days to go. Annie was only woman in the House. The last members were Annie, Leo, Nigel, Pete and Simon. The Big Eye gave them some missions and they performed. Three men got to love Annie through the life. Annie was confused. At first she really loved Simon because he was very handsome guy. However, finally she fell in love with Leo. He always made her smiling and she felt happy and relax when he was beside her.

 

I was not able to guess who would be a boyfriend of Annie, so it was very fun to read and enjoyed it!!

 

If you have a chance, try to read it!!

A Matter of Chance 2

Hi, it's really hot today, isn't it?

 

I've finished reading "A Matter of Chance".

 

 

After Paul and Sandra fell in love, Paul had a lot of trouble with Sandra. Sandra’s family was involved in a crime, sales of drugs.

 

 

A worker who worked under her father’s company sold drugs using her father’s job in secret. Her family got rich because of that. It was too late that they noticed the truth.

If her family report to the police, they would be also arrested because they lived with money which was made by sale of drugs, they actually did not know the truth though.

There was nothing to do and they have to follow the worker.

 

 

When Paul realized the truth, he decided to fight with the worker. Paul faced many troubles and solved the problems. Finally Sandra’s family could start new life.

 

 

I was exciting when Paul stood up to the problems.

A Matter of Chance

Hi, I started reading a new book “A Matter of Chance”.

 

In summary, Paul Morris’s happy life in Italy changes when his wife dies suddenly. He develops an exciting relationship with Sandra, a friend at work. But all is not as it seems and Paul finds himself involved in a world of international crime and car chase across Europe.

 

Paul and his wife, Jacky loved each other and spent happy life for three years. However, everything was changed since Jacky died as the roof-tile fell down and hit her in the middle of her head. The death happened suddenly, so Paul was really shocked.

 

After a month later, Paul and Sandra became good friends and fell in love each other.

 

Would you forgive him if you were Jacky?? Well, I wouldn’t. I felt sorry for Jacky and shocked by Paul’s behavior.

HIgh Life Low Life 3

Hi ;) I went to the Kyoto aqueliam last week. There were a lot of interesting animals and fish. The dolophin show was very exciting. I haven’t been to an aqueliam for a long time. It was good to relax and calm down. I recommend you to go there in summer vacation!

By the way, I’ve finished reading “High Life Low Life” today!

Nat, a private investigator in New York, was asked to find Anni’s son, Jackie. She was a homeless woman and sick in the hospital. She is going to pass away, so she wanted to see her son as soon as possible. Nat worked hard to find her son and visit many places to get some information about him. Nat could finally find her son. Anny thought her son dislike her, but Jackie had been looking for his mother. It had bee over twenty years since they saw last. After that day, Annie passed away. Jackie was shocked and feel sad. Nat also felt sorry about that. Jackie decided to live be himself since then. I hope he enjoy his life without her mother.

Hello. It rains these days. I long for summer, especially summer vacation!

 

I'll tell the continuation of the book I'm reading.

 

Nat saved his friend, an old woman on the road. She appreciated to him. He visited to the hospital to see her a week later. She was still weak and worried about death. She asked him to find his son as soon as possible. She wanted to see him before passing away. She hadn’t seen her son for a long time because her son left home suddenly. She really felt lonely. He decided to find him with him assistant.

 

Well, could he find the son? I’ll continue to read.

HIgh Life Low Life

Hi:) I borrowed a new book "High Life Low Life".

 

 

In summary,

Grand Central Situation, New York in mid-July. It’s early morning, but everyone is suffering in the heat. Private investigator Nathan Marley is on his way to another wasted day at the office. But a chance meeting with a homeless woman at the station and surprise letter changed all of that. Marley starts a journey through parts of the burning summer city he has never visited.

 

The season in the book is same as now, and sounds interesting! So, I chose this book!!

 

One day, Marley walked around a park, he met a homeless friend. Suddenly, she felt down on the street. He was surprised and tried to help her. He was able to help her, and then a newspaper praised him for the happening!!

 

He got famous after that. He didn’t have many works before. However, he got a new job!

 

I’m looking forward to reading the book!!

 

The Best of Times? 3

Hi:) Guess what!
My dreams come true last weekend! I went to the TVXQ concert for the first time! They were really cool and attracted me<3 It was very exciting and I spend a happy time!

I've finished reading this book at last! It was exciting story.
Chee Seng, a sixteen- year-old Malaysian boy, got a first girl friend, Jessica. On the other hand, Chee Seng's parent got a divorce because of his father's flirtation. His mother got sick and went to the hospital. He was shocked and wanted to get away from it all. His behavior got worse and his mother got angry. His family's relationship became bad.However, they came to live happily after his birthday at the end. He learned a lot of lesson through the troubles.

I found an interestig word in the story. Okura is ladi's finger in English.

The Best of Times? 2

Hi!

 

I had a happy time last weekend. I went out for café with a childhood friend. It had been about seven years since we went out together, so we enjoyed chatting a lot!! We went  to “MarieBelle”, a popular chocolate shop in NY. We had a caramel pancake and rich chocolate ice cream. They were really wonderful!! I recommend you the café! It’s in only Shijo in Japan!! You won’t be disappointed!!

 

 

Anyway, I’ll tell the sequel to the book I’m just reading.

Chee Seng, a sixteen-year-old Malaysian boy, faced some happening. For example, his father had an affair with other woman. Since then his mother lost her consciousness. Chee Seng felt very sad and it became difficult to communicate with his mother.

On the other hand, he fell in love with his classmate, Jessica.

I’m looking forward to the course of their love. lol

The Best of Times?

Hi!

I enjoyed club events last weekend. We went sightseeing in Kyoto. I was glad that I got along with new students :)

 

By the way, I’ve started reading a new book! I borrow it from the library. I’m reading “The Best of Times?” by Alan Maley.

 

I chose it because I was attracted by the following sentence.

It is written on the back cover, ‘Until about a year ago everything was perfect— or at least that’s how it seemed to me.’

 

 

 

Recently, I read books which were kind of love story. I wanted to read a different kind of books. This book is written about a boy’s life whose name is Chee Seng, a 16-year-old Malaysian boy. His family was rich and he lived comfortably and wealthy. One day, everything got worth around him. He was distressed at some troubles and grew up through them.

 

Some Malaysian foods and surprisingly a few Japanese foods!

It’s interesting. I can enjoy not only the story but also Malaysian culture!

 

I’m looking forward to that how he will grow up through some troubles.

DOLPHIN MUSIC 2

Hi! How was your weekend?

I spent pretty time with friends and enjoy chatting at wonderful restaurant<3

 

By the way, I’ve finished reading the book “DOLPHIN MUSIC”. If you’d like to know about this story, check out last contribution, please!

 

I was looking forward to the ending very much. However, it is actually not better than I expected. To rescue dolphins, some people died. Saul’s girlfriend also died. I felt really sad. She is famous as a great musician in the world and cooperated with his plan bravely. Finally, she sacrificed herself for him and people. However, thanks to her, the controlled world was reconsidered by people.

All dolphins were saved by Saul and his friends. Dolphins went back to their sea and sing the most beautiful music ever created.

 

I’m going to the library to borrow next book!

I’d like to read happy story next time.

DOLPHIN MUSIC 1

Hellooo!

 

This week, I introduce a new book, "DOLPHIN MUSIC".

It’s a sort of future thriller.

In summary…
 

The year is 2051. CONTROL, the government of Europe keeps everyone happy in a virtual reality. This is the world where it is too hot to go out, and where wonderful music made by dolphins gives everyone pleasure. It’s a world which is changed forever when music critic Saul Grant discovers what makes the dolphins sing and sets out to free them.

 

That attracts the interest because the story is written about the world in 2051! It’s about 40 years later from now and I will be still alive. I wonder how the world change in the future.

 

The main character, Saul Grant is a writer and music critic. In 2051, dolphins sing many songs and these musics are very popular. Of course, Saul loves it.

 

The world in 2051 is all controlled by computer. People can’t do any strange things. If they do, he or she is taken away from the world. Most people are satisfied with the world because their life is very convenient and comfortable. Saul was one of them. However, some people don't like the controlled world.

 

One day, Saul has known  about a darkness side in the world. He was surprised and shocked. Dolphin musics are created  by abuses. He started  action to help those dolphin with friends.

I’m excited about reading the book!!

When Summer Comes

Second book I read was "When Summer Comes".

 

In summary, Stephen and Anna Martins take a holiday break in a seaside village to escape the stress of London. They love it there and make a new friend, a local fisherman. But when Stephen is suddenly called back to London on business, their lives start to change.

 

I’m interested in London and have been wanted to visit London. I thought I was able to know about the atmosphere in London through this book. That’s why I chose the book!

 

 

The description of the view fascinated me because the cottage they stayed was surrounded by beautiful nature. I got want to go there. It’s the best place to escape from the stress.

 

 

Some troubles happened to them and that influenced their minds. It was very excited. The ending was the most interesting!! We can imagine some ways of their future at the end. I thought love is unpredictable and felt by heart not by thinking.

 

 

Staying Together

The first book I read for the reading class is "Staying Together".  I borrowed it from the library in my college.

 

The story is sort of love story… Ikuko goes to England to study promising to return to Japan to get married. However, in Birmingham, Ikuko not only discovers another way of life also a great deal about herself. This is a powerful story about a love that is carried across three continents and even time it self…

 

I was attracted by the phrase: a love that is carried across three continents and even time itself… How romantic it is!! That’s why I chose this book.

 

Before I read the book and while I was reading it, I was very excited. However I’ve finished reading, I felt sad. This story made me think about the harsh realities of life. It taught me it is difficult to continue loving only one person forever, and environment and time change our mind.

On the other hand, it also taught me all encounters are connected beyond time and space. I’ll treasure encounters one by one whether it is good or not.

I'll introduce myself...

I'm Kazuho and from Osaka, Japan. I go to a college in Kyoto and major in English. I've been studying English for the future. My dream job is an English conversation teacher for children, so I'm going to study abroad for a year to improve my English skills.

My hobby is visiting cafes, jogging, walking, watching DVDs, and listening to music.

I love sweets, especially Japanese green tea. I like the time chatting with friends at cafes.

 

I belonged to the track and field club for six years and I was a long-distance runner. In my free time, I go to jogging by the river, or strolling with my dog. That refreshes me.

I belong I.S.C. (the International Student Association of Japan) now.

I'm watching an American TV drama "One tree hill". It's really interesting.

My favorite singer is Taylor Swift, YUI, and Tonight Arrive.
